Biography

Dr. Dimitris Barmpakos is an Electronic Engineer T.E. (TEI of Lamia, 2014) with a Master's degree in Design and Development of Advanced Electronic Systems (TEI of Athens, 2017) and a PhD in Flexible and Printed Electronics (University of Patras, 2021), awarded through a full "Industrial PhD" scholarship from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Currently he is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His main research interests include printed and flexible microsystems, sensor design and embedded systems.

He has participated as a Postdoctoral Researcher in research projects focusing on (hardware and firmware) design, development and evaluation of electronic systems for measurement, control and wireless data transmission. The institutions he has worked with include: a) the School of Chemical Engineering (NTUA), b) the Laboratory of Cell Technology (AUA), and c) the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NCSR "D"). Also he has been teaching since 2020 as an Adjunct lecturer in the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, at the University of West Attica.

Since 2016, he has also been working as a freelance Electronic Engineer, involved in product design and development.
