Pathogen transmission from contaminated surfaces poses a serious threat to public health, driving Healthcare- and Community-Acquired Infections. Traditional cleaning is labor-intensive, costly, and reliant on harmful chemicals.
We are developing a novel electrothermal microfilm that instantly kills pathogens through controlled heat activation. By integrating MEMS transducers on flexible substrates using scalable microfabrication, the proposed technology delivers robust, high-performance antimicrobial action suitable for any high-touch surface. With low manufacturing costs, minimal maintenance, and eco-friendly operation, this platform offers an ideal solution for infection control in hospitals, public spaces, and beyond.
